INTRODUCTION
Let’s hit the road again and head to a beautiful landscape photography location in San Marcelino, Zambales. Mapanuepe Lake is a relatively new tourism location but has been recently capturing the attention of adventure and nature seekers. The lake was formed after the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991. Lahar flows blocked the two major rivers of Mapanuepe Valley which resulted to flooding. Two barangays are submerged in floodwater until this day. The lake is beautifully surrounded with mountains, grasslands utilized as campsites, and lush pine forests. This location is very ideal for grand landscape photography, minimalist, black and white, infrared and night photography. Every traveler will be provided with a camping equipment (solo tent, sleeping matt); to avoid the hassle of bringing their own. Freshly-cooked camping meals will be provided too. So, if you are free on May 28-29, join me in this exciting photography adventure in this beautiful province of Zambales.
