Landscape Photography Refresher Workshop (2021)

INTRODUCTION
 
Feeling not too confident touching your gears again after a year-long lockdown? How about revive your skills by involving yourself into this 2-day hands-on refresher workshop in the coastal town of Real. Four landscape photographers will be there to guide and help you capture awesome landscape images again. All the fundamentals of landscape photography including camera settings for different environment and lighting conditions, effective compositions, use of filters and digital post-processing will be extensively covered in this refresher workshop.
 
This trip aims to provide a refresher course for beginning and intermediate landscape photographers the fundamental techniques and skills required to capture great coastal sceneries. Participants will be given reading materials prior to the trip and on-field lectures about the proper use of gears, compositions, understanding light and visual design. This workshop offers a wide variety of different styles and approaches in creating your own photographic representations of the real world, from colour landscape images to black and white photos.
 
Part of this workshop is the editing / post-processing session where colour and black / white workflows will be shared and taught to participants. Adobe Camera Raw, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom will be utilized as editing softwares during the session. Participants will be required to bring their own computers with the mentioned softwares installed. By the way, a mouse will be helpful in editing your images.
 
You will surely get the most from this workshop and enjoy the experience more as you already have a prior basic understanding of the fundamentals. Aside from that, this trip is a venue to gain new friends and experience great adventures.

-Balance must be settled 7 days before the first day of the trip
-A copy of proof of down payment and identification must be sent to any of the facilitators via Messenger or to francisansingphotography@gmail.com

CANCELLATION
-Deposit/downpayment is non-refundable
-If full payment is not received by the specified dates, we reserve the right to treat the reservation as cancelled and we can retain the downpayment
-50% of the balance paid will be returned if cancelling 30 days or more before the first day of the trip. No refund will be given if cancelling within 30 days before the first day of the trip
-All cancellations must be made by writing an email to the organizers

Francis Ansing is a landscape photographer based in Philippines. He started photography in 2009. Francis is a very passionate about landscapes. His landscape photography interest covers a very wide range of styles from black and white minimalist to color grand landscapes. He's been organizing photography tours and workshops locally and internationally since 2017. 

MARVIN GREY

​Marvin is a published, award-winning fine art landscape and architecture photographer hailing from Batangas, Philippines. He has won multiple awards on several international photography awards and is currently an ambassador for Skylum Software. Most recently, Marvin's work was selected as one of the shortlisted works in 2021's Sony World Photography awards, under the professional category.

DENNIS MURILLO

Dennis is an Electrical Engineer by profession and a Landscape Photographer by passion. In 2016, he got his first DSLR and started dabbling in all kinds of photography, but having spent most of his free time hiking up mountains and camping out in remote forests, it didn’t take him long to fall in love with wild places. Since 2017, he’d made it his mission to capture compelling and unconventional images of natural landscapes. He has a YouTube channel where he uploads videos that tell the story behind each of his shots.

AJ DURAN

AJ Duran is a software engineer who considers himself a serious photography hobbyist. He is an active member of Pinoy Photography Organization (PiPho). His photography is primarily influenced by his fondness for the outdoors and adventure. He does not usually have one style in shooting as he likes mixing things up and producing different results. He dreams of one day being able to do his hobby full-time and share his passion to fellow enthusiasts.
