INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your interest in being part of this Fujifilm GFX landscape photography workshop in the surfing and rugged coastal town of Baler, Aurora. We will guide you through and help you attain the highest possible learning experience during this trip.
This workshop aims
- to introduce to participants Fujifilm's flagship cameras, the medium format GFXs;
- to let participants try the GFX demo units in shooting coastal sceneries;
- to enable beginning, refreshing and intermediate photographers learn the fundamental techniques and skills required to capture great coastal sceneries; and
- to demonstrate and share to participants Francis' and Marvin's post-processing techniques.
Participants will be given reading materials prior to the trip and on-field lectures about the proper use of gears, compositions, understanding light, and visual design. This workshop offers a wide variety of different styles and approaches in creating your own photographic representations of the real world, from color landscape images to black and white photos. GFX product introduction and discussion will be conducted on the first day of the workshop.
Part of this workshop is the editing / post-processing session where color and black / white workflows will be shared and taught to participants. Adobe Camera Raw, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom will be utilized as editing software during the session. Participants will be required to bring their own computers with the mentioned software installed. By the way, a mouse will be helpful in editing your images.
You will surely get the most from this workshop and enjoy the experience more if you already have a prior basic understanding of exposure and how cameras work. Aside from that, this trip is a venue to gain new friends and experience great adventures.
